Chang-Pu Sun Graduate School of the China Academy of Engineering Physics, China

Dr Chang-Pu Sun is a theoretical physicist and an academician of both the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World. He has even served as the president of the Graduate School of the China Academy of Engineering Physics and is currently a Chair Professor at the Beijing Computational Science Research Center and a Visiting Chair in Physics at Peking University. Dr Sun has made important contributions to quantum physics, mathematical physics, and the foundational theories of quantum information. His pioneering research has garnered significant international recognition. Currently, his research interests include the statistical thermodynamics of complex systems, energy physics and the reliability theory of long-term storage equipment systems.

Carlos Guedes Soares Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal
Carlos Guedes Soares is a Distinguished Professor of the Engineering School (Instituto Superior Técnico) of the University of Lisbon and Scientific Coordinator of the Centre for Marine Technology and Ocean Engineering (CENTEC), which is a research centre of the University of Lisbon, rated as "Excellent" and funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. He concluded his postgraduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, in 1976 and at the Norwegian Institute of Technology of the University of Trondheim in 1984. Since then, he has been at the University of Lisbon (Technical University of Lisbon until 2013). He has about 35,000 citations in the Web of Science. He has been Chair or Co-Chair of various conferences in the series of OMAE, ESREL, IMAM, ISSC, ICCGS, MARSTRUCT, MARTECH RENEW and QR2MSE. He is a Fellow of SNAME, RINA, IMarEST, ASME and the Portuguese Engineering Association (Ordem dos Engenheiros). He was one of the five founding members of the European Safety and Reliability Association (ESRA), in which he was General Secretary, Vice-Chairman, Chairman and Newsletter Editor for many years. He is also a Member of the Portuguese Academy of Engineering.
Dong Ho Park Hallym University, South Korea
Dong Ho Park is a professor, emeritus at Hallym University, Korea. He received his BS degree in Applied Mathematics from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea and his MS and PhD degrees from Florida State University, Tallahassee, USA, in 1980 and 1982, respectively. He was formerly an associate professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA, until 1995 and was a director of the Statistics Division, Department of Mathematics and Statistics during 1992-1993. He was a founder of the Korean Reliability Society in 1999 and assumed the presidency of that society from 1999 to 2004. In 2009, he received a prestigious presidential medal for his contribution to developing Korean science and technology, and in 2010, he was elected as a fellow in the Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST). He also was a recipient of a Gallup award from the Korean Statistical Association in 2012. Since his retirement in 2012, he has been working as a research professor at Industry Academic Cooperation Foundation at Hallym University, Korea. At the present time, he is an honorary president of The Korean Reliability Society. He has published a large number of research papers in various areas of reliability theory, including nonparametric classes of life distributions and hypotheses life testing, Bayesian estimation, software reliability, and system warranty and maintenance policy, in a wide variety of international journals.
Enrico Zio Mines Paris - PSL University, France and Politecnico di Milano, Italy
Enrico Zio received his MSc degree in nuclear engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 1991 and in mechanical engineering from UCLA in 1995. He earned his PhD in nuclear engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 1996 and in probabilistic risk assessment from MIT in 1998. He is currently a full professor at the Centre for Research on Risk and Crises (CRC) of École des Mines, ParisTech, PSL University, France. He also serves as a full professor and President of the Alumni Association at Politecnico di Milano, Italy. In 2020, he was awarded the prestigious Humboldt Research Award from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Germany, one of the world's most prestigious research awards across all scientific disciplines. His Google Scholar H-index is 101, and he is in the top 2% of world scientists according to the Stanford ranking. In 2021, he was appointed as a member of the Board Committee of the International Joint Research Center for Resilient Infrastructure (ICRI) for the term 2021-2026. He is a PHM Fellow and IEEE Fellow and was elected a fellow of the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association as "the top scientist with outstanding achievements in the area of reliability engineering and risk assessment." In 2024, he was recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Society for Reliability and Safety. His research focuses on the modeling of the failure-repair-maintenance behavior of components and complex systems for the analysis of their reliability, maintainability, prognostics, safety, vulnerability, resilience, and security characteristics. He also works on the development and use of Monte Carlo simulation methods, artificial intelligence techniques, and optimization heuristics. He is the author and co-author of seven books and more than 500 papers in international journals. He serves as chairman and co-chairman of several international journals and as a referee for more than 20 journals.
Min Xie City University of Hong Kong, China
Min Xie has been a chair professor at City University of Hong Kong since 2011. Prior to that, he was with the National Univ of Singapore for 20 years, where he joined as one of the first recipients of the LKY research fellow. He has carried out extensive research in quality, reliability and industrial engineering, and published over 300 journal papers and 10 books. He was elected IEEE fellow in 2005 and in 2022 to the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. Prof Xie is currently the IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society's Fellow Evaluation Committee Chair.
Mingjian Zuo University of Alberta, Canada
Mingjian Zuo is a professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Alberta and a Guest Professor with the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, China. He is a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE), and the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC), and a Founding Fellow of the International Society of Engineering Asset Management (ISEAM). His research interests include system reliability analysis, maintenance modeling and optimization, signal processing, and fault diagnosis.
Loon Ching Tang National University of Singapore, Singapore
Loon Ching Tang is currently a professor of the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering & Management at the National University of Singapore, a Fellow of the Academy of Engineering, Singapore and a fellow of ISEAM. He has published extensively in areas related to industrial engineering and operations research. Prof Tang is the main author of the award-winning book: Six Sigma: Advanced Tools for Black Belts and Master Black Belts. Besides being active in the forefront of academic research, in the last 30 years, Prof Tang has served as a consultant for many organizations, such as the Ministry of Home Affairs, Singapore Power Grid, Republic of Singapore Air Force, Seagate, HP, Phillips, etc.
Yaochu Jin Yaochu Jin
Yaochu Jin received his BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees from the Electrical Engineering Department, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 1988, 1991, and 1996, respectively. He received his Dr.-Ing. from the Institute of Neuroinformatics, Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, in 2001. He is currently a Chair Professor of AI with the Trustworthy and General AI Lab and Chair of the Artificial Intelligence Department, School of Engineering, Westlake University, Hangzhou, China. Prior to this, he was the "Alexander von Humboldt Professor for Artificial Intelligence," endowed by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, with the Faculty of Technology, Bielefeld University, Germany, from 2021 to 2023, and the Surrey Distinguished Chair and Professor in Computational Intelligence, Department of Computer Science, University of Surrey, Guildford, U.K., from 2010 to 2021. He was also a "Finland Distinguished Professor" with the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, and a "Changjiang Distinguished Visiting Professor" with Northeastern University, China, from 2015 to 2017. His main research interests include AI theory, algorithms, and applications in a wide range of scientific, technological, and industrial problems. Prof. Jin is currently the President of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society and the Editor-in-Chief of Complex & Intelligent Systems. He is the recipient of the 2025 IEEE Frank Rosenblatt Award. He has been named a "Highly Cited Researcher" by Clarivate consecutively since 2019. He is a Member of Academia Europaea and a Fellow of IEEE.
Hong-Zhong Huang University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, China
Hong-Zhong Huang is a Full Professor and Director of the Center for System Reliability and Safety, at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China. He received a PhD in Reliability Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. He has held visiting appointments at several universities in the USA, Canada, and Asia. He has authored or co-authored more than 350 journal papers and eight books in the fields of reliability engineering, optimization design, fuzzy sets theory and product development. Prof Huang is also an ISEAM Fellow, a Technical Committee Member of ESRA, a Co-Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Reliability and Applications, and an Editorial Board Member of several international journals. His main research interests include reliability design, optimization design, condition monitoring, fault diagnosis and remaining useful life prediction.
Chao Jiang Hunan University, China
Chao Jiang obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Hunan University in China in 2008. He is currently a professor at the College of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering and vice president of Hunan University. He serves as an executive committee member of ASSMO, Vice Chairman of the China Committee of IFToMM, and so on. His academic research is mainly focused on mechanical design, with particular interests in the scientific issues of uncertainty quantification, structural reliability, optimization design, and fracture and fatigue. He has published three monographs and over 200 scientific papers in peer-reviewed international journals.

Qiang Wan is a Professor (of Research)/doctoral supervisor. His research interests include solid mechanics calculation methods and models for structures of equipment, and reliability theory of complex equipment based on performance margins.
Xiaohui Wang Beijing Institute of Structure and Environment Engineering, China
Xiaohui Wang is the Director of the Beijing Institute of Structure and Environment Engineering, and Deputy Director of Science and Technology on Reliability and Environment Engineering Laboratory. He also serves as Director of the Editorial Board of Structure & Environment Engineering. His research covers all aspects of aircraft structure, environment, reliability and advanced testing. He has won several Scientific and Technology Progress Awards and published one monograph and more than 20 papers.
