特刊背景

随着电池成为从电动汽车到能源存储等应用的核心,电池的可靠性、安全性和健康管理对于现代能源系统的可持续发展至关重要。电池可靠性、安全与健康管理面临的关键挑战包括电池退化机制的复杂性、电池寿命评估的不确定性,以及剩余使用寿命预测和高效健康管理策略制定的困难。当考虑到电池在极端环境条件下(如超高压、极端温度、强电磁和辐射场、高湿度以及极端负载)使用时,这些挑战更为严峻。与此同时,人工智能、大数据分析和物联网技术的快速发展,为研究人员和从业者在电池全生命周期的监测、预测和决策方面开辟了新的机遇。本专题合集汇集了关于电池退化与可靠性建模、电池数字孪生技术、电池回收与梯次利用以及售后与质量管理方面的研究。其目的是建立一个交流电池可靠性、安全与健康管理最新研究的平台,以支持可靠性与安全科学与工程的进步。

As batteries become central to the applications ranging from electric vehicles to energy storage, reliability, safety, and health management of batteries are critical to the sustainable development of modern energy systems. Key challenges in battery reliability, safety and health management include complexities of battery degradation mechanisms, uncertainties in battery lifespan evaluation, and difficulties in the prediction of remaining useful life (RUL) and efficient health management strategies. These challenges are intensified when considering that batteries are used under extreme environmental conditions, such as ultra-high pressure, extreme temperatures, intense electromagnetic and radiation fields, high humidity, and extreme loads. At the same time, rapid advancements in artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and IoT technologies, have opened new opportunities for researchers and practitioners in monitoring, predicting, and decision-making across the battery lifespan. This focus collection brings together research on battery degradation and reliability modeling, battery digital twin technology, battery recycling and second-life utilization, and post-sales and quality assurance management. The objective is to establish a platform for exchanging the latest research on the reliability, safety, and health management of batteries, in support of the advancement of reliability and safety science and engineering.

All special issue articles are subject to the same review process as regular articles. Authors are invited to contact one of the guest editors, or the journal team (office@jrse.net) directly, to discuss the suitability of their work prior to submission. Please submit via https://mc04.manuscriptcentral.com/jrse-isecaep. You should submit the appropriate article type for your submission then choose ‘Special Issue on Battery Reliability, Safety, and Health Management’ from the drop-down menu.

All articles in Journal of Reliability Science and Engineering are published on an open access basis. Publication is funded by the editorial office and no charges are required for the authors.
